چکیده

There has been increasing interest for manufacturers to produce hybrid vehicles. This is due to high pollution levels, increasing fuel prices, and customer demands of fuel efficient vehicles. Similarly there is interest in use of electrical components instead of mechanically operated ones in automobiles. Mechanical differential is used in automobiles for providing torque transmission through 90 degrees from the engine drive shaft to the road wheels. The objective of this paper is to propose the use of electric motors instead of the differential mechanism. The motors are controlled by fuzzy logic rules, and help in electric current generation when the vehicle travels on highways. The objective of elimination of the mechanical differential unit has been fulfilled by simulation in Lab view software, and the results have been discussed in detail. The proposed model helps in weight reduction, ride quality enhancement, part reduction, engine load reduction and decreasing the number of mechanical parts, lowering the manufacturing costs, and decreasing atmospheric pollution. KeywordsFuzzy Logic ,Reduction of mechanical parts, Ease of maintenance, Motor assisted driveline

Plug-in Hybrids Made Easy – Selectable EV Drive using In- Wheel Motors

Policymakers, consumers and manufacturers are all agreed – the auto industry needs to adopt electrification to address climate change and dwindling natural resources – yet we still see very few hybrid and electric vehicles on the road today. Given the will is there, why the lack of adoption? In reality the main reason is not the technology, but rather the cost of developing the technology in th...

A numerical study of fractional order reverse osmosis desalination model using Legendre wavelet approximation

The purpose of this study is to develop a new approach in modeling and simulation of a reverse osmosis desalination system by using fractional differential equations. Using the Legendre wavelet method combined with the decoupling and quasi-linearization technique, we demonstrate the validity and applicability of our model. Examples are developed to illustrate the fractional differential techniq...

DEVELOPMENT OF A DC MOTOR ASSISTED HYDRAULIC BRAKING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMOTIVE USE

ABSTRACT: Deceleration or stopping the vehicle without any diving and lateral acceleration is essential to develop an effective braking system. The hydraulic braking system with intelligent braking called Antilock Braking system (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) has been introduced.  However, due to the insufficient human effort, the ABS and ESC to some extent, not function well...

Static and Dynamic Analysis of Bus Structure and Chassis of O-457

With due attention to the fact that the local and foreign vehicle industries are changing and modifying the previous designs in order to produce new designs, the components of self-propelled are to be differently analyzed. Static and dynamic analysis is one of them. In this paper, chassis and body of a o-457 bus were studied and analyzed under finite element method (using ANSYS).This process wa...
